Majed Abdullah is considered to be one of the best ever Asian football players. The 'Arab Pelé' is also a big Real Madrid fan.
Which was the best moment you had as a player?
I am delighted with this sport. I've had some good and bad moments, but I always managed to get up again whenever I fell. I had a beautiful career and I am very happy with everything football's given me.
You spent your entire career at the same club, like Raúl. Do you think you careers have been somewhat similar?
The difference is that I was a professional player for only three years in Saudi Arabia and he has always been a professional. Every football player dreams about playing for Real Madrid some day and it would be stupid to think about leaving a club of such importance.
What do you think about being called the 'Arab Pelé'?
I am very proud of being compared on and off the pitch with men of the stature of Pelé . It is wonderful.
Your tribute was magnificent...
It is an honour to be remembered ten years after retiring. I am overwhelmed with joy because people still remember me and ask for autographs when they see me on the street. The most important of all events is the fact that Real Madrid came to my tribute.
What makes Real Madrid so special?
It is the best Club in the world. There is no need to talk about the team because its titles speak for themselves. The best players in history have played for Real Madrid, men such as Alfredo di Stéfano, Zidane and Raúl. It is a special, different club.
Has the league in your country changed much since you made our debut?
It has improved much in the last 20 years thanks to the money the government has invested in it, but in order for a competition to change it not only needs money, but quality players. This sport depends more on the skill of players than on the money invested in it.
What do you think of the Saudi Arabia national team?
I don't think they are far off from being ready to compete with the best teams out there. Saudi Arabia will be a very respected national team in the next few years.

- ماهي افضل لحظة ما قد كنت لاعبا؟
انا مسرور مع هذه الرياضة. لقد كان بعض اللحظات الجيدة والسيءه ، ولكنني دائما تمكنت من الوقوف مرة اخرى كلما انخفض الاول. كانت لي مهنة جميلة وانا سعيدة جدا مع كل شيء اعطتني كرة القدم.
امضيت كامل الوظيفيتك في نفس النادي ، مثل راؤول. هل تعتقد انك تعرضت لمهن مشابهة الى حد ما؟
الفرق الوحيد هو اني كنت لاعب محترف لثلاث سنوات فقط في المملكه العربية السعودية و اني كنت دائما محترف. كل لاعب كرة القدم يحلم بالعب في ريال مدريد في يوم من الايام ، وانه سيكون من الغباء ان نفكر في ترك النادي على هذا القدر من الاهميه.
ما رأيك بمن يطلق عليك " بيليه العرب " ؟
انا فخور جدا للمقارنة مع الرجل من مكانة بيليه انه شيء رائع.
تكريمك كان رائع ؟
انه لشرف عظيم لي ان اذكر بعد مرور عشر سنوات على الاعتزال وانا غارقه في فرح لأن الناس لا تزال تذكرني ويطلبون مني التوقيعات عندما يرون لي على الشوارع. وأهم من كل الاحداث هو ان ريال مدريد جاء الى بلدي التكريم.
ما الذي يجعل ريال مدريد حتى الخاصة؟
ومن هو افضل ناد في العالم. ليست هناك حاجة إلى الحديث عن فريق لان عناوين تتحدث عن نفسها. أفضل اللاعبين في التاريخ لعبت لريال مدريد ، الرجال مثل الفريدو دي ستيفانو ، الدين زيدان و راؤول. ومن خاص ، نادي مختلفة.
وقد الاتحاد بلدكم تتغير كثيرا منذ كنت قدمت لنا الظهور لأول مرة؟
انها تحسنت كثيرا في السنوات ال 20 الماضية بفضل الاموال التي استثمرت في الحكومة ، بل من اجل المنافسة لأنها لتغيير ليس فقط في حاجة الى مال ، ولكن نوعية اللاعبين. هذه الرياضة تعتمد اكثر على مهاره اللاعبين وليس على الاموال المستثمره فيه.
كيف ترى منتخب المملكه العربية السعودية؟
ولا اعتقد انها بعيدة عن كونها على استعداد للمنافسة مع افضل الفرق هناك. المملكه العربية السعودية ستكون محترمه جدا في المنتخب الوطني خلال السنوات القليلة المقبلة ..
